WrestleDream 2025 will take place in the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 18. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) produces the annual pay-per-view (PPV) wrestling event. It’s a tribute to Antonio Inoki, who founded New Japan Pro Wrestling. This is the third edition of the show, and it is the first time it takes place outside of Washington.

The AEW

AEW presents more than 100 live events a year around the world. It runs weekly television programs, Dynamite and Collision. The matches for WrestleDream are built on storylines from the programs. They reflect title defenses, feuds, and rematches. The event will air live around the world on pay-per-view.

An “I Quit” match between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley has already been officially confirmed. In 2024, Jon Moxley won the AEW World Championship. This match will continue the blood rivalry between Allin and Moxley and could be brutal and emotional.

Wrestling fans from all over the US will be watching the event. Some will bet from Pennsylvania and other states where sports betting is legal.

Match predictions

Kris Statlander vs. Toni Storm

Kris Statlander won the AEW Women’s World Title for the first time at All Out. This marked the end of Storm’s reign of 217 days. Statlander expressed interest in facing Storm at a press conference after her win.

FTR vs. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defeated FTR at All Out, but the feud is far from over. When Beth Phoenix appeared to celebrate with Cope, her husband, she was attacked by the duo. A double-strap match could be on the cards.

Kyle Fletcher vs. Orange Cassidy

Cassidy has been out with an injury, and his return could be significant. Fletcher wants to continue his momentum by going up against a big name. The TNT title has eluded Cassidy despite several attempts.

If you can plan your business trip to St. Louis in October, you may just be able to get tickets to watch this match in person at Chaifetz Arena. With seating for over 10,000 people, the atmosphere in the arena is electric.

Mercedes Mone vs. Syuri

WrestleDream often features some NJPW or Stardom, so former IWGP Women’s Champion Syuri could challenge Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Konosuke Takeshita

Kazuchika Okada is the reigning UIF Champion, and a match with the other rising star of Japanese wrestling seems inevitable. Tension is simmering between the two members of the Dan Callis family. It looks increasingly likely that Takeshita will break away from the faction and feud with Okada.

Jurassic Express vs. The Young Bucks

TV ratings for the September 24 episode of Dynamite show AEW viewership at 638,000 and a 0.14 rating in the 18 to 49-year-old demographic. October 1 is Dynamite’s 6th anniversary show, and Jack Perry is teaming up with Luchasaurus again.

Jack Perry and Luchasaurus of Jurassic Express took out The Young Bucks after reuniting after three years at All Out 2025. It seems logical that the two teams will engage in a big tag team feud at WrestleDream, and it could be a potential win for the reunited Jurassic Express. Viewers could revisit a rivalry that defined AEW’s tag team division in the early years.

The Opps vs. Death Riders

For months, the Trios Championship, The Opps, have been locked in a heated feud with the Death Riders in AEW programming. The two sides are likely to collide over the Trios titles, and WrestleDream will be an obvious stage for this.

Hangman Adam Page vs. Gabe Kidd

A match for the 6th anniversary of Dynamite will see Page teaming up with Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs to take on a Death Riders’ trio. Death Rider Gabe Kidd could interfere and attack Page, setting up a title clash for the AEW World Championship.
